Snow, Snow and more Snow!! (Project 52- Week3)

It's funny... just a little over a week ago, I was telling Greg how mild our winter had been. Sheesh, me and my big mouth!

Well, it snowed and it snowed some more! I had two snow days since work closed due to the weather. Alyssa has loved the snow!! She thinks it's just amazing! I am glad that it's slowly starting to melt. It has been nice but, I am looking forward to things getting back to normal!

This week's Project 52 theme is Inspiration. That one was easy for me! This little cutie patootie is my inspiration in everything I do!

Project 52- Week 2

Well, it's been a fun couple of days in the Mooney household. (I say this with total sarcasm.) My car had to be towed since it decided to dump oil all over the garage. Fortunately, it seems to be an easy fix but, they didn't have the right parts and so we've been waiting to hear back as to when we can pick it up. I SHOULD get my car back today but, we'll see! Such is life.

Speaking of "Life", that is this week's Project 52 theme. I kinda struggled with the theme. I was thinking about taking pictures of laundry, dishes, or Alyssa's messy room. Then, I thought about it a little more. Those things will always be there and I really want to remember this time in our lives.

Greg, Alyssa, and I have been taking walks as a family since Greg and I are trying to get into shape. Alyssa has a blast riding her trike. (That she is way to big for, by the way.)I snapped this photo on one of our walks earlier this week!

Well, that's it for now. I must get back to my Words With Friends on my iPhone. Yes, it's my newest addiction!! I think I am finally starting to get the hang of it!!

New Phone For Mama!!

My phone was dying. Seriously... on it's last leg. I was debating a lot about what kind of phone I wanted next and after a lot of reading online, I decided that I really wanted an iPhone. Well, the Honey surprised me and ordered me and iPhone 4s. It came on Friday and I've been in love ever since! I love all the apps and I love that it works beautifully!! YAY!

Greg told me the phone is an early birthday present. I was totally fine with that and then I thought... "Oh Shsssht. I am gonna be 30!" Where does time go? If anyone ever figures it out, please let me know!

Anyways, Alyssa believes whatever is mine is hers so, of course she snatched up my phone as fast as she could to play all the games and even chatted it up with Nana yesterday.

The new P52 theme has been posted and I am trying to figure out what exactly I want to do. So, that should be up in the next few days! Keep an eye out for that post!!

Project 52- Week 1

Well, I am off to a good start, (like always) let's see how I finish! This week's theme was "Resolution". I have a couple of Resolutions. One is to get into shape! I really want to go shopping and fit in some cute clothes!! My Second resolution is to take more pictures of our little girl! She's growing so fast and I want to capture every moment! So, I combined my two resolutions and came up with this...

And for the fun of it... I took this picture today. Alyssa loves to wear my glasses and it is another reminder for me to go get my eyes checked!!

First Day of Preschool

Well, it came. Alyssa's first day of school. I always felt like I had such a long time before she would be starting school! Time sure does fly!

I did what every proud Mama does on their first day... I made her take pictures!! The sun was so bright so her eyes are all squinty but, she still looked adorable!! I am so happy with how the pictures turned out!

A Little Nervous

Alyssa's first day went pretty good! There were no tears but, only because Greg came with me. :) (And of course, Alyssa didn't cry!) I don't think she realized that Greg and I wouldn't be staying with her. (I feel so bad for not explaining that we would be leaving.) So, she was a little upset at me when I picked her up! I think she had fun for the most part! We'll see how it goes on Thursday!

Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium

*sigh* Today, was our last day of summer. I feel like I worked the whole summer (which I kinda did but, so worth it!) and I am not ready for the Fall. It's a spiral of craziness after September. I am already stressing about it! Ack!

Anyways, we spent our last day of summer at Point Defiance Zoo in Tacoma. We had been talking about going there all summer and today was such a beautiful day. It worked out perfectly. I truely enjoyed every minute of the time spent with my two favorite people!

The highlight of my day was watching Greg and Alyssa feed the birds. Alyssa loved them! She was talking to them too! Greg fed them as well. I took the pictures. I am still unsure about how I feel about birds! Greg and Alyssa want to get a bird now... we'll save that conversation for another day! Here's the pictures!!

More Girl Time

On Thursday, Alyssa had her last class of Swim Lessons. I couldn't take any pictures because I was also in class! (Parent Participation Day.) Afterwards, we went home and showered. Alyssa played her fishing game for a bit and then we headed to the mall for some school clothes shopping. Our shopping trip was a success! She got some really cute clothes! For being such a good shopper, I took her to the park to play.

On Friday, we went to Jump Planet. It's one of Alyssa's favorite places to go. We also spent an hour at Fred Meyer picking out Twinkle Toes for school. After trying on different ones, Alyssa finally decided on the purple ones! They are adorable!

We shall play!! Greg is out of town for a few days so, Alyssa and I are having some girl time! We made a trip to American Girl on Tuesday to make a Keepsake Box. While we were waiting, Alyssa played with all the displays. She had so much fun! She keeps asking to go back!

Yesterday, we had a chill day. After Swim Lessons, we went grocery shopping. I got stuff to make my yummy Chicken Salad Sandwiches and Alyssa picked out the Cupcake Mix that she wanted to make cupcakes! It was hot yesterday so, we waited until last night to make the cupcakes. They are DELICIOUS! Alyssa decorated them herself!

Our Last 5 Months...

I thought I'd do a little re-cap of what's been going on over the last five months! But first, we bought Rio at Costco on Friday and we finally watched it last night! It was so adorable! Alyssa loved it too! I highly recommend that you watch Rio too!

Okay... I have 25 pictures. Yes, 25. So, pull up a chair and relax! It's gonna be a long post!

First, we had a trip to Disneyland where we battled the 40 inches! Greg was determined to get Alyssa on as many big rides as possible!

Next, Greg and I took our first trip without Alyssa! We'd never left her before! She had a lot of fun with Nana and Grandpa Curly though! And, we had a TON of fun in Vegas! It was a great little get away for us!

We also made it to the Museum of Flight where Alyssa tested out her cutting skills. (They were having a little craft project!) Greg and I enjoyed looking at everything but, I think Alyssa was really bored!

I also got a new job in June! I LOVE IT! I feel so blessed to finally have a job that I love! I get to play with dolls and little girls all day! What could be better than that!?

We took another trip to Cali this summer! First up, was Redondo Beach. This is where Alyssa swallowed a mouth full of Ocean Water. Poor kid! That was when we decided that Alyssa needed Swim Lessons to learn how to hold her breath in the water!

It's Only Been Five Months...

I was beyond embarrassed about Alyssa's room! After Christmas, I had to figure out what to keep and what to get rid of. She got so many toys! Alyssa wanted to keep just about everything so, some things had to be tossed into a bag when she wasn't looking! Teehee! Shame on me!

Anyways, it was a lot of work. It took a few days but, the little girl and I got it done! I am so happy! Everything has a place!! Yay!! Thank goodness for plastic containers and lids!

Well, I Give Up...

Yup, I give up on 365. Alyssa got sick last week and I am sick AGAIN this week. So, I'll just post weekly (if possible) with pictures that I have taken.

Not too much going on since we've been sick. We made it to Woodland Park Zoo last week. (It was cold!) I also got Alyssa's room completely cleaned and organized, with her help, of course! I will post those pics tomorrow!

Alyssa loved her little bug that I got her for Valentine's Day. She cuddled with it all day long. She also didn't let the balloons go either! She held onto them all day long!

Project 365- Week 6

Happy Valentine's Day!!!

Last week was a busy week for us! I had planned on getting the house entirely organized but, I didn't. Instead, I bought more stuff to organize with and also spent a lot of time with my favorite little girl! I had off Monday - Friday so, we had lots of girl time!! I also re-did the blog and updated my favorite pages that I've scrapped! Check them out!!

I had taken Saturday off to celebrate Greg's Birthday. We went to the mall and got him a watch. We also made a trip to Lowe's to get some shelves so that I can organize my computer work space. Seriously, what a mess!

While I was making dinner, Alyssa was playing with her letters on the fridge. It wasn't that unusual until I saw that she had organized the letters by color. She was quite proud of herself! It made me giggle!

Alyssa and I met Jamie, Cole, and Baby Blake at McDonald's to play on Tuesday. Alyssa had so much fun and she didn't want to leave. She loves the slide!!

Greg made me this drink on Wednesday and I got to use this awesome glass that I got in Disneyland! I never thought I'd use this glass again! Cool glass, huh?

We took Alyssa to the doctor on Thursday to get her all caught up on her shots since we got a little behind. The poor girl needed 5 shots! She got 2 in each leg and one in her arm. We took her to the Rainforest Cafe afterwards. They sat us by the aquarium which Alyssa just loved. She kept looking for Nemo and Dori!

After the Rainforest Cafe, we took Alyssa to Toys R Us to pick out a toy. We walked around the entire store and she finally decided on this ball pit! We need to get some more balls for it but, she really likes playing in it! It's kinda big but, 5 shots totally deserve a cool ball pit to play in!

Well, week 5's pictures are kinda boring. Alyssa and I spent most of the week sick and therefore, my pictures suffer as well! Boring week but, I'll be back next week with better pics!

I FINALLY got a new computer. My old one has been on it's last leg for awhile! We got this beauty at Costco! It's so nice to have a new computer!

By Thursday, Alyssa and I were feeling much better. She'd been begging to go to Chuck E. Cheese's for awhile so we decided to take her. She had a blast and I think Greg had just as much fun playing the games too!

We made a trip to the pet store after Chuck E. Cheese's and came home with Remy, our little rat! He likes Greg the best! Alyssa freaks him out and I think he hates me because he pooped on me! LOL Alyssa loves him though! I guess that's all that matters!

Project 365- Week 4

Oh my goodness. Alyssa and I got sick AGAIN. I am so tired of being sick. We are getting better. We just have coughs and stuffy noses now. Needless to say, I got behind. I am now putting my photos up from last week!

I got some new rugs for Alyssa's bathroom. The other one would slide around when she got out of the tub and it scared me! She likes this one. It's nice and soft!

Alyssa loves my phone! She is always asking me to play with it! She is always asking to visit the app store so she can download more games.

We got a label maker so that I could label all of our spices. I have yet to do that but, we did have fun labeling Alyssa! :)

Project 365- Week 2

Alyssa and I are feeling much better. Work has slowed down for me, which I am extremely thankful for. I've been scrapping, watching movies, reading blogs, and just plain relaxing. All except for the tetanus shot that I received on Tuesday and my arm is still sore. Better but, sore! Ouch!

After putting together this week's pictures, I realized that I took a lot of pictures of food. I guess I was hungry this week!

It was COLD on Saturday. I love having the fireplace so, that I can sit it front of the fire and warm up.

All the holiday stuff is on clearance at work. Of course the last thing Alyssa needs is another stuffed animal but, a huge Snoopy for 7 bucks?! I couldn't help myself!

I love how Alyssa always comes downstairs in the morning with random toys! Not to mention she insists on wearing necklaces and getting all glammed up when her hair is a mess! :)

On Tuesday night, it snowed like crazy. Greg said it would be all melted the next day so, I bundled Alyssa and myself up and took her outside to play in the snow. It was 10:30 at night but, it was so much fun! She LOVES the snow! And, Greg was right. The snow was all slushy when we woke up on Wednesday morning!

A scrapping friend shared this blog with me. I find it to be a good read! She also has posted on how to get organized in 21 days. I am SO excited. I really want to do this. I need to go shopping for some containers and organizing stuff. So, as soon as I get everything I need... I'm going to get started on it! Take a look! She makes it seem so easy! Project 365- Week One

Wow, what a way to start the New Year. Our little baby was so sick! She made her first trip to the Emergency Room and I hope it will be the last! This Mama was freaking out! I am happy to say that she is feeling much better and back to her crazy self. As I type this up, she's watching Winter Wipeout for the second time in a row. See? Back to her crazy self!

I thought maybe she'd like this better than the original Vick's because it's not nearly as harsh. However, she chucked this across the room after this picture was taken. Apparently, she wasn't impressed with it. After scolding her, I put it on her nose. She cried, and I felt awful. Ugh, the joys of a sick kid.

After work, I arrived home to find an extremely sick baby girl. I rushed her to the ER. The only thing she was worried about was taking off her hospital bracelet. She kept asking me, "Mommy, I take this off now, okay?" Fortunately, after she was finished the nurse cut it off for her. She was SO happy.

What do I deserve after taking care of a sick baby girl and nursing her back to health. A nice cold glass of Pinot Grigio in one of my new wine glasses that Greg got me for Christmas. So relaxing while watching Big Bang Theory with Greg.

I got Greg a helicopter for Christmas. (Well, he picked it out but, I wrapped it!) It's a little one that he flies around the house. He likes to get it as close to Alyssa and me as he can. It freaks me out, it feels like a huge bug in my face. Alyssa on the other hand, thinks it's absolutely hilarious!

Due to Last Night's Events...

When I got home from work last night, Alyssa was just plain miserable. She had a fever, her eyes were so swollen, and she was complaining that her ears hurt. I took her to the Emergency Room and they looked at her. She has a double ear infection and pink eye. She was so good and throughout the whole thing she was smiling and asking questions. We got home at about 1 am but, I did get her prescriptions. Thank goodness!

Christmas 2010

I didn't get our family pictures done, I didn't send out one Christmas card, spent all of Christmas sick, our tree is still up, the lights are still on the house, and we haven't opened presents with Nana, Grandmpa Curly, Uncle Dennis, and Lacey. December was just a crazy month and we're still trying to recover.

We did have a good Christmas at home. Papa Greg's Dad) came and spent Christmas Day with us. We had a lot of fun opening presents and Greg made us a delicious breakfast. I woke up sick and have been sick since. This cold/flu is just awful.

Disneyland December 2010

A whole month since my last post. That's crazy! We've been vacationing, working, treating illnesses, oh and, don't forget the holidays! Absolute mayhem!! I am glad that it's the New Year and things can finally slow down for a little bit.

I am going to attempt the Project 365 again but, I will be posting once a week, instead of doing everyday posts! I know I can't keep up with that! Over the next couple of days I will update with December's pictures! But first, I'll start with the Disneyland pictures. There are 25 of them. So sit back and relax!! It's a long one!

Oh, She's A Diva!!!

We're counting the days until our trip to Disneyland! We leave in 6 days! There's so much to get done and I still have to work in the midst of it all!

Today, we did some girly shopping for our trip. Alyssa and I got red and green nail polish to paint our toes, bought some lip gloss, and took Alyssa to get her hair cut. I always dread the haircuts. I am not sure why... it always makes me a little sad to cut her hair. It was only her third haircut. Greg is all for the hair cutting! Anyways, Alyssa did really well and the lady that cut her hair was amazing. She also braided Alyssa's hair. Alyssa LOVES it. When we got home, she went in the bathroom, closed the door, and checked herself out. She's turning into such a girly girl and I LOVE IT!!

Oh! I almost forgot! Our Thanksgiving was so wonderful this year! We stayed home and I cooked our Turkey Dinner!! We got the house all decorated for Christmas too! The tree is up and it's gorgeous!

Our first snow of the winter came yesterday! It really started snowing last night. So, we all bundled up and headed outside to play! Alyssa LOVES the snow. Of course, it didn't take long for her little face to get bright red due to the cold. She was so mad that we made her go back in the house and warm up!

On Monday our baby girl turned 3! I can't believe that she is 3 already!! We had her party on Sunday. It was a lot of fun and she had a blast! I'll keep this short as there are 16 pictures!!

Oh Snap! A New Camera!

Every time we go to Costco, we stop by the cameras and take a look. We've been doing this for the last 2 years now. Greg wants a new video recorder and I want a new camera. After much debate, we found a camera that we could both appreciate. We got the Nikon P100. It's new camera for me so, that I may take countless photos and scrap them. AND, it's a HD video recorder for Greg so, that he can be happy too! So far, I am quite pleased with our new camera. I'm still learning and playing with it.

I hope I can get it figured out because Alyssa's 3rd birthday party is on Sunday. Yes, her THIRD birthday. I can't believe my baby is going to be 3! We took her to Party City on Saturday night and let her pick out the decorations for her party. She decided on Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. She is going to have so much fun! I can't wait!

Halloween 2010

We had a fantastic Halloween this year! I worked a little bit in the morning and then came home and got everything ready for trick-or-treaters! Greg did all of our fabulous decorating. I tried to take pictures but, they didn't turn out very well. Alyssa is on our front porch in these pictures so, you can see a little bit of Greg spooky work!

Alyssa's cousin, Adela, came over and the girls went trick-or-treating in Mill Creek at the Mill Creek Towncenter. We went at 5 while it was still light out. It worked out well though because as we were leaving it was getting dark and there were people everywhere! It was crazy!

We didn't get too many trick-or-treaters but, we still had a great time!

Carving Pumpkins 2010

Well, we had a crazy fun weekend and I paid for it yesterday with a migraine. I am feeling much better now since I got a few good naps in! Migraines suck!

We carved pumpkins on Saturday. Alyssa had fun for the most part. She definitely didn't like the pumpkin guts! She is such a girl sometimes! I am so proud! ;)

Pumpkin Patch 2010

Every year we go to the same pumpkin patch. BUT, it's not really a pumpkin patch. It's a nursery called The Plant Farm in Marysville. I love going there because there is no mud and dirt to walk through. They place the pumpkins in the grass and you go and pick out your pumpkins! It has all the great elements of a pumpkin patch too! Wheelbarrows, hay rides, farm animals, and a bouncy house for the kids to jump in! Alyssa said she wanted a small pumpkin and she got 3! We had a lot of fun and the rain held off so, we stayed dry! Yay!!

Well, needless to say... I did get sick. Hence the blog not being updated or finished. And, at this point, I am already planning a new look for the blog so, I'm not sure if I'll ever finish this look. Haha!

We've been busy but, have been having a lot of fun too! We've been working and shopping. We've been getting ready for Halloween and Alyssa's Birthday. I also got my Christmas present early! Alyssa broke my Nintendo DS (Well, I think she did... the microphone could just have died.) and I've been wanting a Nintendo DSiXL because the screen is so much bigger. We got a great deal at Costco and I've been playing Nintendogs ever since. Then, I let Alyssa play with it for a bit and she deleted all of my dogs! Oh well, I was playing the game too much anyways! Enough of my chatting... here's some pictures from the last few weeks!

We made our bi-weekly trip to Costco today! Yay! We got our Christmas tree! I am SO thrilled!! I love the smell of real trees but, they are such a mess to clean up! I am looking forward to being able to put the tree up right after Thanksgiving too! We also got Alyssa this really cool toy!

Our Weekend...

We had a lot of fun this weekend! We decided to buy the PS3 Move. We spent most of our weekend playing with the Move and watching football. (It was a sad day for us Seahawks fans.) Alyssa LOVES the Move. (Then again, she loves all video games.) We bought EyePet which I just had to have. It's so cute!! It also came with a game that has Bocce Ball! Greg and I played and I won! Finally, a video game that I can play and win at! Woot! We stayed up way too late playing last night but, it was fun! I'll just have to pour myself a cup of coffee before work tonight!

Another Ordinary Day

I always love days off from work. Alyssa asks me everyday, "Mommy? You go to work today?" and I love when I can tell her that I am staying home all day. She gets so excited!

I spent most of yesterday cooking! Lacey (Dennis' Honey) made pizza from scratch last week and I decided to give it a try myself! It turned out super yummy and even Greg loved it! Alyssa helped me put all the toppings on the pizza. She loves helping me cook!

Before making the pizzas, Alyssa was her usual crazy self. She dumped the pieces of the train out of the plastic bin so that she could sit in the bin and roll balls around. She also found one of Greg's hats and insisted on wearing it around the house.

Oh my. I have gotten so behind! There's always so much going on these days and trying to keep caught up on everything is proving to be impossible! A few weeks ago, Greg and Alyssa took a trip to California to go visit Granny and Papa! They had so much fun! I was sick but, I did enjoy my alone time and I did get the entire house cleaned and organized.

Alyssa and Greg took a daddy/daughter trip to California to visit Granny and Papa last Thursday. They got home on Monday! I tried to enjoy my time alone but, it was just too quiet. I did get caught up on a lot of house cleaning and finished all the laundry. That all went out the window the moment they got home though!

Greg got me a gorgeous Dooney Handbag that I had been eyeing when we went to Disneyland in June. Out of all the ones he's gotten me, this is by far my favorite! There's so much to look at! I LOVE IT!

Forest Park Water Fun!!

Monday was a scorcher! (If you live in Washington, you know that already though!) It was so hot that Greg came home early. We took Alyssa to the water geysers at Forest Park in Everett. It was so much better than I had thought! Alyssa loved the geysers. She didn't stop running around at all! She was in pure water heaven! She was cooling off and having so much fun that even I was tempted to run around in the water with her. :)

Lake Washington

On Saturday, we took Alyssa to Seattle for a fun day in the sun! We loaded up the cooler with juice, water, and snacks! We went to UW and rented a canoe on Lake Washington and fed the ducks. It was a lot fun to my surprise! I really enjoyed it!

He loves that stuff. On the way back to the car... Greg threw darts and won this Scooby Doo for Alyssa. She said, "Daddy, POP POP POP! AND, Scooooby Doo FOR ME!" Worn out from her busy day, she passed out in the car with Scooby in hand.

Seahawks Training Camp

Well, another heat wave has hit us. Ugh. I am miserable and my computer is miserable too. It gets too hot and shuts off. I don't blame it. I wouldn't want to work in this heat either. So hopefully, I can get all the pictures in this post before my computer decides it's done for the day!

We went to the Seahawks Training Camp on August 7th. It was POURING down rain. Not sprinkles but, huge rain drops. Of course. The one day WE go. I think it would have been a lot of fun if it hadn't been raining. I was wet, cold, and just plain miserable. Alyssa didn't like that she had to sit still and sit under the umbrella with me. Greg did get her some Skittles so, she was happy for a few minutes at least!

Before we left for the day, Greg got a phone call. Alyssa was less than thrilled and didn't want her picture taken. I think it's funny! She doesn't.

Jump Planet and Bowling

Last Thursday was a fun day for Alyssa! First, we went to Jump Planet to meet Jamie and Cole. It was super hot in there and I was ready to go as soon as we got there. Alyssa had fun though and ran around and climbed like I've never seen before! After Jump Planet, we took the kids to McDonald's for lunch and sliding. It was much cooler in there and I was happy! Thank goodness for their A/C! :)

After naps, Greg suggested that we take Alyssa bowling. I was SO excited. Even though I am not any good, I still love bowling. Alyssa had a blast! She insisted on carrying her ball and "throwing" it herself! Her ball only went 1.4mph. It took FOREVER for it to get to the pins but, she loved every minute of it! (So did I!)

Some More of the Everyday

Nothing too exciting going on around here. Just working, playing video games, scrapbooking... you know, the norm. Here's a couple pictures from the weekend!

Alyssa will pout when she doesn't get her way or when she gets yelled at for doing something she's not supposed to do. She'll stand at the end of the couch and put her head in her hands and look away. I find it hilarious. She doesn't find it all that funny when I laugh!

We got donuts from FROST in Mill Creek on Saturday Morning. They were so good! Alyssa got her own sprinkle donut. Of course, she ate the whole thing and LOVED it!

Greg is always the first one up. (Well, I guess in this case Alyssa was the first one up!) He came downstairs to find Alyssa asleep on the couch. She arranged the pillows to her liking and pulled the blanket over her. I don't know when she got up either. We don't hear her and her room is right across the hall from us. She's so funny!

Day Eight in Cailifornia

Our last day in California was spent in Downtown Disney. We took Alyssa to go see Toy Story 3 in 3D. She did so well! She sat through the whole thing with her glasses on and everything! (They make glasses for her size!) She loved it!

I took this picture with my phone because our cameras were packed. There were these Mickey's all over for the All-Star Game. There was one in our hotel but, I forgot to take a picture of her with it! Grrr! This one was in front of the ESPN Zone restaurant in Downtown Disney.

Day Seven at Disneyland

The seventh day was our last day at Disneyland. Our day was packed! We wanted to ride all of Alyssa's favorite rides one last time before leaving. We also did a Character Breakfast. We try to do at least one everytime we go. This time we went to Goofy's Kitchen at the Disneyland Hotel. It was a lot of fun and the food was SO good! Alyssa loves these things!

We also went and saw Fantasmic on our last night. Right after the show, we put Alyssa in her stroller and before we were out of the park, Alyssa had fallen asleep. She had a lot of fun but, she was drained! I was drained too but, it was SO worth it!

Day Six at Disneyland

By the sixth day of our vacation, we were really slowing down. We were tired and exhausted! We did the usual... rode more rides, ate, and shopped! We took Alyssa over to Pirate's Lair Island for a bit. She liked running around on the Island and playing with all the Pirate stuff.

Keeping Cool

I AM going to get the rest of the vacation pictures up... in fact, I'll start working on them right after I post this!

It's been HOT here... FINALLY! I pulled out the little kiddie pool that we have for Alyssa. Unfortunately, it was too small for her now. But, she had a good time splashing around in it and it cooled her off for a little bit!

Day Three at Disneyland and Day Four at Knott's Berry Farm

I am combining days 3 and 4 because we didn't take too many pictures. We spent most of these days riding rides. A lot of them all 3 of us rode together so, we couldn't take pictures!

Greg had to work a little bit here and there when we were on our trip so, Alyssa and I would sit (not so patiently) and play. Alyssa loved the big mirror in the hotel room and would dance and sing in front of it!

The first night we were in Disneyland, Greg insisted that I take Alyssa on the roller coaster. I didn't even want to go on it! I was afraid she'd cry. Nope, she laughed and laughed. After that, everyday was, "Roller Coaster, PWEASE!!!!!!!!!?!"

On the 4th day, Greg's parents took us to Knott's Berry Farm. Little did I know what it had in store for me. Greg made me ride 4 of the craziest rides ever. I am SO thankful that I didn't get sick. The craziest one was called The Accelerator. It goes 0 to 80mph in 2.3 seconds. It was NUTS. The only good thing was that it was all over in about 45 seconds!

Day Two at Disneyland

The first day that we got to California, the Hilton had overbooked and sent us to the Sheraton for our first night. So, the next day, while we were waiting for the bellhop to come get our bags and take them back to the Hilton, we snapped a few pics!

We went to the Roxy store in Downtown Disney and I was ecstatic when I found these little flip flops for Alyssa! I didn't even know Roxy made stuff in her size! She liked them too!

We got our Fast Pass tickets for World of Color and headed to the spot where the show happens. We were trying to find the best spot! Alyssa saw the rides and kept saying, "Rides!! Pweaaaaaaaase!?"

To get a good spot for Fantasmic, you have to pick your spot a couple of hours before the show and sit and wait. Alyssa isn't so good at the waiting part. Fortunately, there was a little girl behind us and she played with her. Alyssa LOVES the show so, it's worth the wait!

After Fantasmic, we went to the World of Color in California Adventure. We stopped and check out Glow first. It was crazy... kinda like a rave for kids! Pretty cool though!

We watched the World of Color at 11:15pm. Alyssa did so good! She loved it and fell asleep in her stroller on our walk back to the hotel! It was a gorgeous show! We loved it and saw it 2 more times while we were there!

Day One at Disneyland

It was a crazy busy week for us! It was a lot of fun but, I am happy to be home! I took a ton of pictures so, I'll be posting one day at a time for the next week!

I love going on vacations because I learn something new about Alyssa each time we go. This girl goes crazy for rides! Who knew? I couldn't believe some of the things she rode and loved. The first ride we rode was Small World. After we got off she said, "AGAIN! AGAIN! AGAIN!"

Little Gamer Girl

During our move, I found the charger to Greg's Gameboy Advance. We have more games for it than my DS and I really don't care if she breaks it. She's been completely addicted to it for the last couple of days. Even if she's not playing it, she has to know where it is. She plays for about 10 minutes at a time and gets bored and does something else then goes back to it. Today during lunch, she ate and played her game!

Busy, Busy, Busy. I can't believe it's the middle of June already. We've been unpacking and getting ready for our trip to Cali. We leave in just 8 days! We still have SO much to do!

We're All Moved!!!

Well, we're finally all moved in. Unpacked... well, that's a different story. We're slowly but, surely getting there. We love it here in our new place and Alyssa loves it too! I've got lots of pictures to show you so... get ready!!

Alyssa and I made little trips to the new place all last week. I'd give her fruit snacks in a bowl so that I could unpack the boxes from my car. As soon as we'd get in the kitchen, she'd grab her bowl and ask for "Woody Snacks!" (Toy Story Fruit Snacks)

We added molding to the floor since there wasn't any in the upstairs rooms. We also painted our room and Alyssa's room and added a chair rail. Here's a couple pictures of the work in progress. (It's done now and looks FABULOUS!)

Getting Ready to Move!

Today, we took some of Alyssa's toys over to the new place. We're trying to get her used to the idea of living in a new house so that it won't be a complete shock the first night. She loves going over there. She goes up and down the stairs and even knows which room is hers! We also bought all the paint and supplies today! We will be very busy painting on Monday! Yay! Relaxing and Packing

We're slowly getting things packed. Greg's done more than me so, I should probably get off of here and pack the framed pictures up but, I'll share these pictures with you really quick first!

Alyssa loves to pull Greg's chair up next to me and relax in it while I check my e-mail, facebook, twitter, or whatever it may be. She was super comfy yesterday hanging out in Greg's chair and eating her Yogurt Melts.

Ouchies, Sillies and Paint!

Of course, we've been crazy busy. Trying to plan everything for moving and Greg and I both work opposite schedules so, it's hard to coordinate everything! Greg got us some bins and started going through the closets. I started cleaning out the kitchen cupboards and found formula from the hospital from when we brought Alyssa home! Wow! It's good to get rid of all the stuff we don't need!

On Friday, Cobalt scratched Alyssa's foot. I am not sure if he did it on purpose or on accident because I didn't see it. Alyssa wasn't provoking him though so, I think it may have been an accident. She cried and said, "Pobalt, OUCHIE!!!". When she calmed down she went over to Cobalt and said, "No NO KITTY! NO! Be nice!" That made me giggle. He got her pretty good though!

Alyssa loves making silly faces. She asks me to take a picture and then says, "Mommy! Funny Face!" She's always so amused by herself! She says, "I funny!" Yes, yes she is!

Last night, we went to Kohl's and checked out the bedding. We picked this out for Alyssa. I love the colors and the little cats!

We went over to Lowe's to check out the plants and flowers and to pick out paint colors for Alyssa's room, our room, and the living room. Alyssa's room was super easy! Greg and I are still working on the colors for the living room and our room. We have two very different opinions! Haha! Alyssa was less than thrilled with us at Lowe's. She was super bored and danced around in the aisle singing, "TA-DA!"

Alyssa's newest favorite things are video games. She has been bitten by the 'gaming bug'. She loves Mario Galaxy and Mario Party. I seriously need to find her a game that is meant for her age because I am always having to help her with the games and I am really not very good at them! After dinner tonight, I took Alyssa on a bike ride. I tried teaching her how to peddle but, it didn't work very well. I don't think she's quite strong enough yet. I pushed her to the playground and she played with the kids there and had a good time. So, at least she burned some energy!

Long Overdue Post...

Well, I've just about given up on the Project 365. I'll still be posting pictures but, I just can't be certain that they'll be taken everyday!

Last week, Alyssa and I had colds and we were miserable. So, of course I didn't take that many pictures. AND, this week... we've been working on trying to find a new place to live as our lease is up in June here. It's been stressful but, we think we've found a new home. If all goes as planned, we'll be moving at the end of the month! We've also booked our vacation to Disneyland for the end of June. It's going to be a busy couple of months but, I am excited for all the new things to come! Here's some pictures from the last couple of days!

Alyssa got this really cool bubble maker in her Easter Basket from the Easter Bunny. It makes HUGE bubbles and she can do it by herself which makes her very happy!

I find it quite funny that Alyssa isn't too fond of watching any sort of TV with me. (ie: The Real Housewives, Snapped, Disappeared, 48 Hours) But, as soon as Greg puts on some sort of "shoot 'em up" video game... she pulls her chair up next to him and says, "I help you!". Then she rests her head on him and plays video games with Daddy. She's starting so young...

Project 365- Days 114-116

So? Do you like the new look? It only took me forever but, I finally got this blog made-over. The Valentine's Day theme was seriously driving me crazy!

On Saturday night, we went grocery shopping. Alyssa kept asking us for ice-cream cones. I am still not sure where she learned about ice-cream cones but, we got them for her and she absolutely loved her ice-cream! She would lick her ice-cream and say "It'ssss gooooooood!"

Yesterday, Greg went paint balling so, Alyssa and I got together with Dennis and his Sweetie, Lacey. We had a yummy lunch at the Olive Garden. Alyssa absolutely loves her new friend, Lacey. I think Dennis and Alyssa may fight over her! ;) After Alyssa's nap, she played with her TaDoodles. They make such a mess but, she calls them her eggs and she laughs when it talks to her!

Today, was pretty quiet. I just worked on the blog and Alyssa woke up with a bit of a cold. We got her some Lip Smackers the other day and she likes to put it on. She is starting show more and more girly tendencies! Yay!!!

Tonight, I went and got a much needed pedicure with Jamie. I hadn't had a pedi in over 3 years! It was so nice to get my toes done. They look so pretty!!! Alyssa loves them! When I got home she said, "Ohhhhhhh CUUUUUTE!"

Shortly after, Alyssa kept saying "Blue Missing!" and pointed to her toes. Unfortunately, I don't have a blue color. The closest I have is purple. SO, I painted one of her feet and she didn't like that they weren't blue and wouldn't let me do the other foot. Oh well. I guess I need to go buy some blue toe nail polish for her!

I am so tired today! I can't wake up! Even the coffee isn't working. I'm just getting caught up on all my online stuffs then, I am going to eat a Lean Cuisine and take a nap if Alyssa cooperates. Then, it's time for work. I am definitely looking forward to the day off tomorrow and getting a pedi with Jamie!!!

On Tuesday, I decided to take Alyssa to the park to swing. It didn't work out very well. Everything was soaking wet and even though it didn't rain, Alyssa got all wet from trying to slide on the wet slide! She ran around quite a bit! Yay for burning energy!

Yesterday, Greg shared his Second Degree Burn Doritos with Alyssa. She loved them! She'd stick her tongue out and say "SPICY CHIPS!" and ask Greg for more! Silly Girl! They were good but, they were HOT!

Everyday, we struggle with teeth brushing. Some days she does really well and we have no problems. Other days, she fights me so bad. We have two toothbrushes for her so that she can pick which color she wants. We also have two different tooth pastes for her to choose from! Today, she did well! She wanted both brushes!

It's been a busy few days for us! We had the family over on Saturday. Alyssa had so much fun seeing everyone and loved playing with Nana! Her new favorite toy is her bucket and shovel that Nana and Grandpa Curly brought over. As soon as she got up from her nap on Saturday she said, "Shovel!!!"

I really should be cleaning my house since I am having the family over tomorrow. Instead, I find myself taking a break for a drink and then seeing inspiration in my Vitamin Water for a photo. If I am not drinking coffee, then I am drinking Vitamin Water. These ones are my faves! Alyssa loves them too Yummy!

Alyssa and I still battle over the binky. She found one under the couch and climbed up on the couch to watch her "Bug Movie" (A Bug's Life... She calls the grasshoppers, "Poppers" LOL). When I came out of the kitchen she took it out of her mouth to show me what she had found. Sneaky little girl.

Alyssa hates being in the house. So, I am trying to get her out and about as much as possible. She loves to play with other little kids and she always wants more "friends" (as she says). For the longest time, Alyssa's favorite cup was her green cup. She didn't want any other cup except her green cup. We went to the Disney Store on Sunday and she picked this Ariel one out. (It is pretty darn cool.) She won't use any cup except this one now. And, it isn't dishwasher safe. Bummer for me. Oh well, at least she likes her cup. (Also notice, the napkin in her lap. She's such a girl sometimes!)

Well, I missed quite a few days last week. Alyssa and I were recovering from the stomach flu and Greg was recovering from a yet another case of Cellulitus. It was a rough week for all 3 of us. Fortunately, we're feeling much better but, I did miss a lot of pictures. Grrr... I am going to try and stay caught up but, life always seems to get in the way! ;)

I always know when Alyssa is ready for a nap. She grabs her blankie and asks for her binkie so that she can cuddle up on the couch. She usually watches an episode of Umizoomi before her nap!(I REALLY like that show!)

For the most part, age 2 has been a lot of fun but, every once in awhile the terrible two's get the better of her. She didn't want to take a picture. So she started pouting.

The Friday before Easter, I came down with the stomach flu. It was horrible. Greg brought me home some flowers. I love them and they're still alive!!

Alyssa was SO excited on Easter Morning. She came running into our room and said, "Bunny's Here!!" She had her Easter Egg Hunt that we set up for her and then she played with her new sandbox and water table. Shortly after, she starting throwing up. She came down with my bug. It was awful.

A few days after Alyssa was feeling better, I had her show me her tummy for a scrapbook page that I made. Right before she'd get sick she'd say, "Tummy Hurts." and lift up her shirt to show me.

I took this picture of our silly cat, Cobalt. Greg always gives him the rest of the tuna to eat out of the can. (Carbon doesn't like Tuna. Weird, huh?) Cobalt scoots it along the floor. He never looks up once to see where he's going.

Yesterday, we went to breakfast and then to the mall to get Alyssa some shoes. I asked to go "look" in the Pumpkin Patch. That place has the CUTEST clothes. Even Greg can't say no to! We walked out of there with these two darling outfits! I can't wait until it gets warm outside so Alyssa can wear them!

Today, I took Alyssa shopping (I had exchange some clothes and get her some shirts) and then to go meet up with Jamie and Cole. Alyssa had a lot of fun and was completely exhausted when we got home. I don't think she took a long enough nap because she was CRANKY when she got up. She didn't like me taking her picture and told me "NO!"

Well, pour yourself a glass of wine or coffee (depending on the time of day) because this is going to be another LONG one. Man, when I get behind... I get WAY behind! Ack! Also, there is no day 85 because I just didn't get the time to take a pic that day. Oops.

Last Saturday, we took a little bike ride to the playground to play with all the kids. She loves her bike but, loves the kids even more!

Wednesday, Alyssa kept asking to go "Swing! and Slide!". When Greg got home from work, we took her to the park to swing. When we left to go eat, she was SO upset. Fortunately, she calmed down when we ate lunch at Red Robin and she got a balloon!

It's been a busy Friday for us! I am glad that it's almost over and as I am writing this post, I am getting Alyssa ready for bed!

Greg brought home 'The Princess and the Frog' for Alyssa today. The poor girl has been waiting since December to watch this movie! Everytime the commercials come on, she begs me for "Princess Frog!".

Before the movie, we went to Buca di Beppo and had a yummy dinner and then picked up some popcorn from the store. We cuddled, ate some popcorn, and watched the movie. Alyssa loved it! (I did too!!) It was a fun night!

Alyssa saw this talking egg in the grocery store and just had to have it. I thought it was pretty cute until we got it home. The thing doesn't stop talking! She loves it though! There's a little chick inside so, she brings me her egg and asks me to open it. The chick then says, "Yay!! YOU FOUND ME!" Alyssa thinks it's the funniest thing ever!

Little Miss Alyssa has had the worst eczema for the last couple of months. We've battled the eczema ever since she was born. This poor girl has to take bleach baths and get lotioned up ALL of the time. I feel so bad for her. I really hope this is something she outgrows. I guess we'll see. I gave her a bleach bath today and she ran away from me after she got out of the tub. She always runs but, I always catch her and put her lotion on her!

I'm not really quite sure but, Alyssa was quite amused with herself when she climbed on her table and started "swimming"!

Alyssa hates when there is anything on her fingers. After eating a cookie, she insisted that her hands were, "sssticky". She holds up her hand to show me. I didn't see anything (still don't) but, I wiped them for her anyway!

I made Alyssa her first Kid Cuisine. I've never seen her get so excited to eat! She pulled her chair into the kitchen and sat down so that she could wait for it to cook. She loved the sprinkles!!

Yesterday was my birthday! We dropped Alyssa off with Nana and Grandpa for the day. Greg took me bowling at Lucky Strike (we had our own private lane), then we went and saw 'Alice in Wonderland' (I loved it!!), and lastly, Greg took me to El Gaucho in Bellevue for a beautiful dinner. It was a great day! I still can't believe I'm 28! Where does the time go!?

Well, I knew it was going to happen. I got behind again! Greg and Alyssa have been so sick for the last week! Alyssa is feeling much better but, Greg's cough is still hanging around! It was back to work for me too this week! I had a great 8 days off with Alyssa! I really miss being a full-time SAHM but, such is life! Here are the pictures from the last 6 days!

Last Sunday, while we were watching the USA and CAN Hockey game, Alyssa decided that she'd take her clothes off! I went in there to take a pic and she laid down on her bed. I think she was embarrassed! So far, we haven't had anymore incidents but, I am sure she'll keep taking them off since she figured out how to do it now!

Alyssa LOVES oranges. She will eat 3 oranges in a day! (Just ask her Nana!) I bought some oranges for her and she stuffs pretty much the whole orange in her mouth! Then, when she's done she says, "MORE ORANGE... PEASE!!"

Alyssa has had a little cough for the last couple of days and I kept hoping it would just go away. No such luck. Today, she woke up sick. The girl will not eat anything except for fruit snacks and toast. I am sure her throat is bugging her because she just looks miserable when she's trying to swallow. Poor kid. I went to the store and got her some popsicles. Of course, she chooses the red one for her first popsicle ever. She didn't eat too much of it but, at least it made her feel better for a little bit!

Since the Olympics have started, Alyssa has been asking us to skate. She would bring us her slippers and say "Skate!". We'd put her slippers on and she'd "skate" around the house. We finally decided that we should probably get her some actual skates. We took her to Toys "R" Us last night to pick out skates and a helmet. She did really good in the house last night. So, this morning when she asked to skate, I took her outside. She had a blast and skated all the way to the slide without much help from me at all! She's growing way too fast for me!

Alyssa is my little social butterfly. She is always trying to make friends wherever she goes! Today was no exception. We went to McDonald's to play with Cole and Jamie again. After playing with Cole for a bit, she found herself a nice little girl with a penguin stuffed animal. I am always on the look out for new bath toys since Alyssa spends so much time in the tub. I saw this Starfish Fountain by Munchkin at work the other day and thought it would be kinda fun for Alyssa. I didn't have high expectations but, this thing is so awesome! It sprays all sorts of crazy and since it was on sale I ended getting this thing for 6 bucks! She loves it!! I love a good find!!

Another busy week for us! I just have to get through work today and I have a whole week off! I am very excited to spend the time with my baby girl, get caught up on my house cleaning and my scrapbooking! Yay!

Cobalt loves when we go to Costco and bring home boxes for him to sleep in. I am not sure why he loves them so much, he doesn't even look all that comfortable! Silly cat!

I love when Alyssa gets out of the tub! She's always so happy to be wrapped up in her towel! She shivers and says "Cooooolllld!!!"

Day 48- All Clean!!

It's been such a beautiful week! We took Alyssa outside to play several times and she just loves it! As soon as we step outside the door she says, "Slide! PEASE! PEASE, SLIDE!"

Day 49- More Sliding!!

Alyssa and I ran some errands with Greg on Friday and stopped by McDonald's so, that she could have some play time and also get some lunch! She got this Penguin in her Happy Meal and was playing with it in the car on the way home.

Day 50- Toys in the car!!

Yesterday, we took Alyssa to the Family Fun Center in Renton before we dropped her off with Nana and Grandpa for the afternoon. (Greg and I had a late lunch and went to see Shutter Island! I LOVED it!!) She liked playing on the slide at first but, I think it was a little much for her. The slide was huge and she kept landing pretty hard on her butt! We took her to play games and she ran to the Sponge Bob game. She loved it!

Day 51- "Sponge Bob! PEASE!"

This morning, Alyssa was awfully quiet in her room. I went in there to see what she was doing. She TRASHED her room. How she did all this destruction so quickly and quietly is still beyond me!

Project 365- Days 39- 46

Wow, "slacking" is an understatement. We've been super busy and I just can't seem to find the time to get these pictures on the blog! Hopefully, I'll be back on track now! "Hopefully" being the key word, there. ;)

We had a little bit of sun last Monday so, I took Alyssa to the playground to play. It was still wet and after an hour of sliding, Alyssa's whole back side was soaking. She didn't seem to mind though!

Day 39- Sliding!!

Alyssa is usually full of energy in the morning even when she first gets up! It was funny to see her so cranky on Tuesday Morning! She wasn't too happy about me taking a picture to capture this crankiness either!

Day 40- Not a Morning Person Today!

This was my first attempt at French Braids. Alyssa wouldn't sit still. I think I am going to have to wait until she's a little bit older! Too bad because even though they were messy, they still looked cute on her!

It still amazes me how much Alyssa loves this Ball Popper! She will play with it for hours! I seriously wonder how much money we've spent on batteries for this thing!

I had to have a picture with the number 5 in it for a scrap project. I tried writing 5 on a piece of paper but, the girl wouldn't hold it! So, I finally just leaned a blank piece of paper against her and used Photoshop to put a 5 on the paper like I did with the "I love you!" that's on there now. Look at her face! She's getting pure satisfaction out of not cooperating with me!

Day 43- Picture For Mommy's Scrap Project

Alyssa hates getting her hair combed. HATES it. The poor girl cries everytime. She goes back and forth on who she wants to comb her hair. This night, she wanted Daddy.

Day 44- Miserable Hair Combing

We had a decent Valentine's Day. I worked but, when I got home, Greg and I cooked dinner together. (Alyssa helped) We had Pan-Seared Herb Chicken and Penne Pasta with Marinara Sauce! It was yummy!!

Things have been a little hectic around here with Greg getting ready for his trip to California and me working. But, I took this picture last night of Alyssa playing with her Shape Cupcakes. She loves these cupcakes. She thinks they're real and tries to lick the frosting off the top of them! I'm going to get stuff to make real cupcakes while Greg is gone. I think she'll really like them!!

Well, I've been doing this for a month now and I am still going strong!! Woot! Greg has even helped me out! He took yesterday's picture of Alyssa in her chicken costume while I was at work. She loves to dress up in her chicken costume and run around the house saying, "Bock! Bock!".

Alyssa loves to talk on my phone. Whenever she see's me on the phone she says, "I talk! Mommy, I talk!" So, she gets on the floor and I put the phone on speaker so that I can translate Alyssa's language to Nana! :)

Not too much going on over the last couple days. Just working and trying to keep the house cleaned up. My new Droid Eris came yesterday. I am SO excited about it! My Blackberry Storm died after only having it for a couple of months. The Eris is fantastic and I love all the apps they have for toddlers! It's fun for me AND Alyssa. Because, seriously, she likes the phone more than me!

Alyssa loves cars. She loves the movie and her 'Cars' cars! I was really hoping she'd like a baby doll or a stuffed animal but, instead she likes the cars when she goes to bed.
